That’s a wrap…

We’ve just exited a season of gift giving. Christmas gifts, goodwill, and Magi gifts of gold, frankincense, and myrrh. Many of those gifts are for a season, and some are simply kept just long enough for the returns line at Walmart. But what gifts have you gotten that can be used every single day for the rest of your life? Have you considered unwrapping those Spiritual gifts you received as soon as you invited Jesus into your life?

Today, these gifts are oftentimes overlooked. Some don’t even realize that they have received gifts. It’s like the gift was delivered to the front porch but nobody got the mail. God’s Spirit has delivered an exciting combination of gifts for His children, and it’s now our time to unwrap these gifts and begin to try them on.

Like the sweater you received that fits “just right,” or that pair of jeans that fits you “like a glove,” your Spiritual gifts are perfectly suited for you.

Over the next two months we’re going to unwrap Spiritual gifts to see how yours can be used to for the common good (1 Corinthians 12:7)

Whether they’re ministry gifts (Ephesians 4: 11-13), manifestation gifts (1 Corinthians 12: 7-11), or motivational gifts (Romans 12: 3-8), God has been generous in your gifting. Stay tuned for our discussion, and get ready to step out in faith to use them. He will amaze you with His grace and presence. Mark my words.
